Banneker Watch Warranty / Battery Information

All Banneker Watches come with a standard 2 year warranty covering the movement and mechanicals.  We stand behind our watches though so if you ever have an issue with your Banneker Timepiece please contact us directly at shop@bannekerstore.com and we'll do our best to resolve the situation and make sure your watch is a source of pride and inspiration for many years.  

Due to some recent events we have decided to extend a special 1-year warranty on all batteries in addition to our standard warranty.  It was recently brought to our attention that some Baller, 5th Avenue, and Imhotep watches that were sold between May and November of 2016 may have shipped out with a battery that wasn't at 100% strength and could therefore fail prematurely.  

Our manufacturer had watches warehoused and told us that everything was fresh but we are finding out that some of the watches had actually been activated a while ago and had been running while the watches were being stored which means the batteries are now starting to die. We feel horrible about this situation but if your new Banneker watch stops suddenly within the first year of purchase it is almost certain it is because of the battery and not a bigger problem.  Please take a deep breath, accept our apologies, and consider the options that we can offer you:

•  If you send us the watch we can change the battery and send it back to you - this option takes about 2 weeks to complete.  Notify us by email to start this process.  

•  You can stop at any watch shop or jeweler and have them change the battery yourself (it is a standard battery and easy to change) you can just send us a copy of the receipt (scan or pic you take with your phone) and we’ll refund you the total plus an extra $10. This option should only take a few minutes and can usually be done while you wait. Average cost is between $7 -$16 depending on the place and batteries last up to 3 years.

•  Or you can just have it replaced at your own expense, send us an email, and we’ll issue you a $50 credit that you can use on your next Banneker purchase. The credit doesn’t expire and you can use it anytime….even on sale priced watches and clocks.
