On Feb. 25 – 27, 2015, Joe Madison - The Black Eagle - hosted a record-breaking marathon broadcast where he talked for 52 hours on his SIRIUS XM talk show. The broadcast is officially registered with the Guinness World Record Organization. The marathon served as a platform to raise money, from his listeners and supporters, for the building of the new National Museum of African-American History and Culture in Washington, DC. Joe Madison interviewed a variety of guests during the 52-hour marathon broadcast including several celebrities, politicians, entertainers, musicians, historians and Banneker CEO and Founder, Derrick Holmes.
The items worn by Joe Madison (including his Black "Baller" by Banneker) during this historic marathon broadcast are currently on display at the National Museum of African-American History and Culture in Washington, DC.
As a result of this incredible accomplishment Banneker Watches was inspired to collaborate with The Black Eagle to create a custom, Limited Edition Signature Series Timepiece. This exciting new style is coming very soon.
